EDITORIAL ASSISTANT, VFX POST PRODUCTION
This is a short-term contract job, must be able to work in-house
RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS
Digitizing, importing, transcoding high resolution (4-8K) footage and prepping for external vendors and client review
Creating support documentation (continuity breakdowns, VFX breakdowns, pull lists, cue sheets, etc.
Responding to the creative requests of directors such as music searches, stock footage searches, dialogue cobbling, visual breakdowns, rough assemblies.
Workflow creation and implementation for VFX and editorial pipelines
General data management and organization, project drives, footage, project archiving and storage
Work closely with the Head of Production to manage workloads and deadlines, technical forecasting and staffing needs
Implementation of new technology and testing of emerging workflows
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum two years post-production VFX workflow experience
Minimum two years Adobe Premiere editing
Minimum one year DaVinci Resolve for on-line and conform experience
Excellent computer skills with expertise in Mac OS and Windows 10
Exceptionally detail-oriented with the proven ability to handle numerous tasks with the appropriate follow-up and reporting activities.
Ability to work independently while being an integral member of a high-functioning team.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts and procedures in simplistic terms.
Strong time management, organizational, and multitasking skills coupled with the ability to work independently and with minimal supervision.
Personal integrity and the ability to inspire confidence and trust
Knowledge of file formats, compression methods and practices
Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends.
