DINA BENADON | Founder | Chief Executive Officer
Dina Benadon is a passionate believer in people, technology and the future - the culmination of a career rooted in producing groundbreaking immersive entertainment. As Co-Founder and Principal of Super 78, an international award-winning creative studio, Dina inspires and cultivates the company’s expertise in experiential storytelling. Established in 1997 as a media design and production studio, Super 78 is now a leader in content, attraction creation, and an innovator of storytelling technology tools.
BRENT YOUNG | Founder | President | Creative Director
Brent Young is an award winning director, an Emmy-nominated visual effects supervisor, and entrepreneur. He is a Producer and Supervisor of media-based attractions for theme parks, zoos, and aquariums He is a member of the Visual Effects Society, Producers Guild of America, and the TEA (Themed Entertainment Association).
Brent has directed and/or created world-class media with Nickelodeon, Universal Creative, ESPN, Electronic Arts, SeaWorld, Cartoon Network, Busch Gardens, Disney, American Greetings, and Discovery Networks.
JAY WILLIAMS | Executive Producer | Head of Growth
Emmy Award winning Producer Jay Williams has been a Senior Media Executive and Global Creative leader for nearly three decades with experience spanning Disney Theme Parks, The Disney Studios, Digital Media, Film and Television Production.
Jay spent much of his career in Marketing and Branding, as well as production. He has a proven track record having helped launch numerous Disney Theme Parks, Attractions, Resorts, The Disney Cruise Line and well over 300 films during his 17-year career with the Walt Disney Company. Post Disney, Jay launched an award winning multi-platform studio and consulted for a number of studios, networks, production companies and agencies. Jay has won numerous industry awards including the first prime-time Emmy for Virtual Reality and was nominated for a second Emmy in 2018 for The Walking Dead Digital Series; “Red Machete.”
Jay teaches part-time at the school of Film and Television for Loyal Marymount University and prior to that he taught for five years at AFI as part of the producing track there. Jay is currently an active member of the Television Academy as well as the Producers Guild of America.
PAUL WASHBURN | Producer | Head of Production
Paul brings a wealth of production expertise to Super 78 with nearly a decade of experience working on top-tier animated features at Pixar, Sony and Paramount. At Paramount, Paul partnered with several ex-Pixarians to work on development of the 2018 animated feature, Amusement Park, which served well as introduction to the world of themed entertainment.
Paul also worked on development of the Sony’s Smurfs: The Lost Village and his formative years in animation were at Pixar on Monsters University, The Good Dinosaur, and Cars 3. Paul previously produced digital campaigns with 180 Amsterdam for Adidas and served as a Producer at Complex creating content with icons Kanye West and Kobe Bryant.
A native of metro Detroit, Paul helmed a series of blues documentaries and is proud to have two musically-intrigued children at home who are still waiting for him to bring a roller coaster home from the office.
MICHAEL "OZ" SMITH | Technical Director | Visual Effects Artist
Since joining Super 78 in 2003, VFX Artist and Technical Director Michael “Oz” Smith has brought a wizard-like mastery of digital media and attractions to his various pursuits. He has led technical, visual effects work and installations on several attractions, most recently Maritime Experiential Museum at Resorts World Sentosa’s Typhoon 360, a live action and CGI mix, 360-degree screen real-time special effects.
Oz was also integral to the success of two large format rides for OCT, Flying Over America and Flight of the Dragon. Other recent credits include Universal Singapore’s Madagascar: A Crate Adventure dark ride, Busch Entertainment’s Curse of DarKastle, Western Center’s circular diorama film Echoes of the Past, and the nine screen Spirit of Franklin for the Aichi 2005 World Expo.
During this time, Oz has also led the visual effects and finishing work for numerous commercials, broadcast graphics packages and music videos.
In addition to artistry, Oz also brings extensive technical expertise to his various projects, performing R&D for Super 78’s stereo and post processes, architecting Super 78’s multi-screen/multi-projector post-production workflow, and on-set visual effects.
ROBERT COKER | Senior Show Writer | Creative Development
Robert Coker’s most recent projects include the guest experience and attraction scripts for Super 78’s latest Flying Theater attractions: Alpha Flight and Wings Over Washington. He also wrote the preshow video script and related informational graphics for Reef Rescue, Super 78’s new high-capacity virtual reality (HCVR) experience.
Another of Robert’s key projects was The Forbidden Caves, the 3D media-based Immersion Tunnel attraction at Belgium’s Bobbejaanland theme park, for which he wrote the attraction script and led the creative development of the entire guest experience.
Robert wrote the pre-show, queue videos, and queue exhibits for the SpongeBob SubPants Adventure, the interactive 4D interactive character attraction for Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas.
Robert is also a member of the development team for The Walt Disney Birthplace restoration project, helping to create marketing and communications materials. Part of that effort includes work for The O-Zell Soda Company, developing web site content, packaging, and related elements.
In 2002, the first edition of his book Roller Coasters: A Thrill Seeker’s Guide to the Ultimate Scream Machines was published. It received “Five Star” customer ratings at both Amazon.com and BN.com and climbed to the number one slot on Amazon’s “Travel Books Best Sellers” list. There were three subsequent reprints, two with updated content, and all four editions sold out.
Along with Brent Young, he is a frequent co-host on The Season Pass, the Internet’s leading themed entertainment industry podcast.
STEVE ROSOLIO | Producer | Systems Development
Steve Rosolio has over a decade of experience in various fields of entertainment including film, themed attractions, live events and animation.
His most recent work at Super 78 includes overseeing the development of the virtual reality system for Reef Rescue, the world’s first high-capacity VR (HCVR) experience. He is advancing development of Mushroom VR™, Super 78’s proprietary “pre-experience” design and review tool. Other recent attractions include The Smurfs Village Playhouse and The SpongeBob SubPants Adventure, two of Super 78’s interactive character experiences, powered by Geppetto, the company’s award-winning show technology. He also supervised the production of The Forbidden Caves, the Immersion Tunnel attraction that opened at Bobbejaanland, in Belgium.
In the film industry, Steve has worked on films directed by some of industry’s leaders including Steven Spielberg, Christopher Nolan, JJ Abrams, and Michael Mann.
His live events experience includes work for the Vans Warped tour, the Seinfeld Campus Tour, and Flash Concerts.
MORGANE KEESLING | Associate Art Director
Morgane Keesling is an art director specializing in themed entertainment and concept design. During her attendance at Long Beach State University for a degree in Animation, she became a Disney published and award winning illustrator and worked with many studios including Universal Creative, Garner Holt Productions, Themespace, Aardman, and Nickelodeon.
From themed restaurants and bars, consumer products, escape rooms, and child enrichment centers to museum exhibits and theme park dark rides, Morgane finds joy in working with a team to create memorable experiences for all ages.
Along with her passion for themed entertainment, she also strives to help young and new members of the industry find their places — in 2015, she joined the Themed Entertainment Association and now serves on the Board of Directors, where she represents the NextGen program for the Western Division.
In 2016, Morgane was highlighted in Animation Magazine’s “Animated People” column.
TIM WILLIAMS | Director of Research & Development, Interactive
Tim Williams has a wide variety of programming experience in a multitude of technical fields including video games, virtual reality, and themed attractions. He is a skilled developer with extensive experience in Unity3D, software engineering techniques, and VR development. He also has experience in software design, project management, business management, art direction, game design, and many other fields. He has worked extensively with the HTC Vive, GearVR, and Oculus VR headsets.
Tim started off developing independent video games at a young age, later starting his own development company at age 16. As soon as the Oculus Rift VR headset was introduced, he saw its potential and began developing for it. His work received many accolades, including being showcased by Intel at the Game Developers Conference.
As the lead software engineer at Super 78, Tim spearheaded the development for the Thea Award-honored Geppetto Animation Control System. Geppetto powers Super 78’s interactive character experiences projects including the Thea Award-honored SpongeBob SubPants Adventure at Moody Gardens in Galveston, TX, and The Smurfs Village Playhouse at Motiongate Theme Park in Dubai.
Tim leads the engineering development for Super 78’s Mushroom VR review and approval tool, as well as Reef Rescue, the world’s first High-Capacity Virtual Reality attraction.
SARAH LOUDEN | Production Coordinator
Sarah brings a life-long love for immersive experiences to Super 78. She works with the production team to keep all projects on schedule and on budget, communicating with every stakeholder to make sure all parties are in sync.
She has a Bachelors degree in Management in Events and Leisure from University of Technology, Sydney. She has completed further studies in Mechanical Engineering at University of Sydney and Texas A&M. Sarah has worked in events, tourism and theater management.
KELLY TANAKA | Accounting | Studio Manager
Kelly Tanaka has over twenty years experience in the world of finance. Her background ranges from private wealth management to production accounting for a scripted television studio. The majority of her career has been in business management handling high-net-worth entertainment clients.
Kelly joined Super 78 to return to a creative environment while continuing to do any and all things numbers, including payroll, which might explain why her co-workers seem to like her.
LEXI HETTICK | Office Coordinator | Social Media Specialist
Lexi recently graduated from the University of Southern California with a BFA in Stage Management, Production. She has worked for several theatrical companies on the west coast including Shakespeare Center of Los Angeles, Sojourn Theatre, Palos Verdes Performing Arts Center, and The Alpine Theatre Project. When not at Super 78, you can find her pouring latte art at Cafe Dulce, producing sketch comedy, or sending it at Mammoth.
